Lineas is the largest private rail freight operator in Europe. This Belgian company used to operate under the name NMBS Logistics and is currently committed to expanding their operations throughout Europe. Hard Rock Hallelujah!

In order to realize this “European ambition”, Lineas chose to implement the Anaplan platform together with Ufinity. There is a strong need for flexible planning systems that meet the needs of this growing company. With Anaplan they can budget their operations faster and more efficiently.

Lineas currently budgets their operations in excel sheets. Different departments fill in the sheets separately and afterwards they are bundled together in a common sheet using Alteryx. This leads to many inconsistencies in the data and makes the budgeting process a time-consuming activity.

The implementation of Anaplan ensures Lineas is now able to:

• track budgeted operations in clear dashboards based on a single source of truth.
• anticipate more quickly to shortages and surpluses.
• synchronize financial planning and operational planning company-wide.
